A. Terms of Service (General)
These Terms govern use of Covalith websites and products. Covalith is a brand operated by Jianzhong Li (individual developer; App Store seller name: Jianzhong Li). Product-specific terms are provided in appendices and are incorporated by reference.
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using our services, you agree to these Terms and applicable product appendices.
2. Eligibility and Compliance
You represent that you may lawfully use the service in your jurisdiction and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
3. Permitted Use
You may use the services only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Abuse, disrupt, reverse engineer (except where legally permitted), or interfere with the service
- Use the service to violate rights of others
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
4. Accounts and Security
If a service provides account features, you are responsible for protecting your credentials and activities performed under your account.
5. Intellectual Property
Unless stated otherwise, Covalith and its licensors retain all rights to the service, software, content, and marks.
6. Third-Party Services
Our services may rely on third-party infrastructure or platform providers. Their terms and policies may apply to portions of your use.
7. Disclaimers
Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Covalith is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Covalith harmless from claims arising out of your unlawful use of the services or violation of these Terms.
10. Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably required for security, legal compliance, or abuse prevention.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after an updated effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law as determined by the relevant service provider and jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
B. Secret Text Terms Appendix
This appendix supplements the Covalith General Terms for Secret Text.
1. Service Nature
Secret Text is a client-side secure text translation tool. It is not a hosted messaging relay and does not guarantee message delivery between users.
2. Subscription and Trial
- Secret Text may offer monthly/yearly Apple subscriptions and a limited free trial (currently 3 days in active storefront configuration)
- Pricing, billing cycle, cancellation, refund eligibility, and auto-renewal are managed by Apple under your Apple account terms
- For App Store distribution, Apple's Standard EULA applies unless Apple provides or accepts a different license flow
- Covalith General Terms and this appendix remain supplemental for website, support, and product-specific policy context
- Trial duration and product availability may vary by storefront, region, and platform rules
3. Feature Access
Contact setup and handshake are available without purchase. Encryption and decryption, including app feature access gates, require active trial or subscription entitlement.
4. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Using the product lawfully
- Verifying recipient identity/fingerprint where needed
- Protecting your own device, account access, and exported diagnostics
5. No Security Guarantee for User Environment
While Secret Text uses modern cryptographic design, security also depends on your endpoint environment, operational practices, and third-party platform behavior.
6. Prohibited Use
You must not use Secret Text for unlawful activity, abuse, attacks, or rights violations.
7. Export, Sanctions, and Local Law
You are responsible for complying with any export control, sanctions, cryptography, and telecommunications laws applicable in your jurisdiction.

服务可能依赖第三方基础设施或平台，相关部分可能受第三方条款与政策约束。
7. 免责声明
在法律允许范围内，服务按“现状”和“可用”提供。
8. 责任限制
在法律允许的最大范围内，Covalith 不对间接、附带、特殊、后果性或惩罚性损失负责，包括利润、数据或商誉损失。
9. 赔偿
你同意就你违法使用服务或违反本条款引发的主张，对 Covalith 进行赔偿并使其免责。
10. 暂停或终止
为安全、合规或反滥用需要，我们可合理地暂停或终止服务访问。
11. 条款更新
我们可更新本条款。更新生效日后继续使用服务即视为接受更新条款。
12. 准据法
除强制性法律另有规定外，本条款适用由相关服务提供方及司法辖区确定的适用法律。
B. Secret Text 使用条款附录
本附录用于补充 Covalith 通用使用条款在 Secret Text 产品上的具体规则。
1. 服务性质
Secret Text 是客户端安全文本翻译工具，不是托管消息中继服务，也不保证用户之间消息可达。
2. 订阅与试用
- Secret Text 可提供 Apple 月订阅/年订阅与限时试用（当前店面配置为 3 天）
- 价格、账单周期、取消、退款资格与自动续订由 Apple 按你的 Apple 账号条款管理
- 对于 App Store 分发版本，如未提供其他许可证流程，则适用 Apple 标准 EULA
- Covalith 通用条款与本附录继续作为网站、支持与产品特定政策的补充说明
- 试用时长与产品可用性可能因店面、地区和平台规则而变化
3. 功能访问
联系人添加与握手无需购买即可使用。加密与解密以及 app 内相关功能门禁需要有效的试用或订阅权益。
4. 用户责任
你需自行负责：
- 合法使用产品
- 在需要时核验对端身份/指纹
- 保护设备、账号访问与导出诊断文件
5. 用户环境安全不作绝对保证
尽管 Secret Text 使用现代密码设计，实际安全仍取决于你的终端环境、操作习惯与第三方平台行为。
6. 禁止用途
不得将 Secret Text 用于违法活动、滥用、攻击或侵犯他人权利。
7. 出口管制、制裁与当地法律
你应自行确保符合所在司法辖区关于出口管制、制裁、密码学与通信的适用法律。
